Astros 1, Cardinals 2
This is going to be fun. The modern day murder’s row of Matsui, Feliz!(Seriously, he bats third?), Lee and Pence went a combined 1-15 with a single from Feliz. I guess a one run game is all you could have asked for here.
Nationals 7, Phillies 14
The Nationals jumped out to a three run lead and scored 6 runs in 1 2/3 against Phillies starting pitcher Kyle Kendrick. Unfortunately, Kyle Kendrick took the honor of “best starting pitcher on the field” Last night. Craig Stammen one-uped Kendrick giving up 7 runs on 7 hits a walk and homer to Utley in just 1 and 1/3.
Season-to-Date: 0-2, -1.39
Today: My 0-8 Astros are once again taking on the Cardinals, so that seems like a sure-fire loser. Happ has to come down to earth at some point, though the Nationals seem like they are not the team to do it. Of the Rose is always a personal favorite with the Rockies and I definitely did a double take when I read “De La Rosa” and “-205” next to each other. Baltimore is off to a 1-8 start, so they could be a decent option against the A’s.
