MASTERS FRIDAY LIVE ODDS: NOON

I’m pretty sure this tournament is going to come down to whether or not Tiger won for me so here’s an update on his round so far:

#19

Drove it left in the trees, hooked it out of the trouble and ran it up short of the green.  Nice up and down for par on a hole that will play MUCH tougher today.  Chance to win: 35.15%

#20

Long of the green in two, Tiger pitched up to about 4 feet and drained the putt for birdie.  Chance to win:  38.56%

#21

Tiger bombed his drive to within a short pitch of the green.  A mediocre approach, left him with a longer birdie putt that he almost made, but had to settle for par.  Meanwhile, Choi converted birdie on 3 to get back to EVEN for the day.  Couples remained at -7.  Chance to win:  36.51%

#22

Tiger goes way left on 4, similar to the miss he had on 14 yesterday.  Fails to get up and down.  Behind him, Barnes moved to -6 with a birdie on 3.  Projected winning score has risen about .3 so far, so the course should be playing harder today.  Chance to win:  31.50%

#23

As Charl Schwartzel continues to implode on the course, Tiger pars the 5th hole.  Ahead of him Couples is still at -7.   Chance to win: 31.61%

  1. Eric

This tournament has gone so horribly wrong, I’m left rooting for one thing:

Sandy Lyle to go 69-90. C’mon Sandy!

  2. The last hour has actually been really “good” in a “we were already at rock bottom” kind of way.

    -Couples dropped a shot,
    -Perry birdied two tough holes
    -Charl is falling apart.
    -Sergio hasn’t totally sucked.

  3. “You forgot to add “yet” to that statement.”

    Yes, good call.
