Liberty 39(+10), #23 Clemson 79.
I had a feeling this one had no chance going in, which was confirmed in only 6 minutes and 59 seconds, the time in which it took Liberty to record their first field goal. Liberty didn’t exactly heat up after that, either. Other than that, classic Clemson D, forcing a lot of turnovers. It’s a shame I didn’t have Liberty turnovers +10 v. Liberty points, at least that would have been close(28-39).

Northeastern 53(+8.5), Siena 59
Northeastern completed a stellar four pack of openers that included quite a bit of offensive incompetence. I’m not sure how this one came down to the final minute, but this basically summed up the game:

At that point, the cover seemed improbable, but Siena missed 3 out of 4 free throws and ended up winning by 6.

Overall, Liberty and Northeastern combined for a solid .64 points per possession on the day. After all that crap, I think I’m calling it a day. Might have something more on Thursday.
