GOLF LEANS BRIDGESTONE EDITION

First, get your contest picks in.

Second, I’m thinking about doing some research with the shot tracker numbers from this week. If anyone would be willing to help me record some players distance data for the week shoot me an email. You can do as little as you like and you’ll have at least two weeks to do it as the shot tracker stuff from Firestone should be up until they tee off at Wyndham.

Leans
To call Furyk a lean would be a joke considering I already have two max plays down on that, but Furyk -110 v. Goosen.

Padraig Harrington +150 v. Donald-Not sure about Padraig, probably won’t make this play, but it doesn’t get any uglier right now than back Paddy.

Thongchai Jaidee -135 v. Immelman-not betting this, but this line made me laugh harder than any line I have seen in awhile. Immelman the Masters Champion getting +115 from some random Asian dude.

Padraig +115 v. Rose- This one would feel better, although I’m not sure it is a better bet.

Padraig +135 v. Poulter-Paddy is borderline, but at first glance this appears to be the best look.

Westwood +100 v. Mickelson-Books definitely aren’t respecting Mickleson with this line.

Brian Gay -110 v. Angel Cabrera-Do I really need to be betting on Brian Gay with two wins on Tour this year? 5dimes is trying to tempt me.

GFC -105 v. Nathan Green- apparently a win at the RBC Canadian Open is worth a lot more than I thought.

McIlroy -110 v. Els- not much to say here. I’d imagine this is close to a toss-up by my numbers.

Padraig Harrington -105 v. Kaymer-If you follow golf as closely as I do this line is patently absurd to Padraig(Kaymer should be a bigger fav). However, I think Padraig will probably be the square side here to the average fan.

Luke Donald -115 v. Ross Fisher-definitely better at -110.

Zach Johnson -115 v. Adam Scott- Johnson has a strong history at Firestone and is a lot better overall right now. Do I need to do this one? Probably not.

Justin Leonard -115 v. Angel Cabrera-I’m not as big a fan of Leonard as Gay, but this line is attractive, too. Leonard’s lack of victories this season might make this more solid.

I’m disappointed there wasn’t any better ways to fade Phil(much safer for the books to wait until next week for that) or someone like Davis Love.

RENO-WHO CARES-TAHOE
Tough to lay off Na this week, although Charl and Spencer Levin are lurking. Probably no matchups from this garbage.

In conclusion, lot of leans/marginal feelings before I cross check these with my numbers and there will definitely be more action this week than in the past few, but most of these will get cut.
