Last night was fantastic. I got to watch all my teams lose and the end of 24’s seventh season fall apart like the Nationals bullpen. It felt familiar, really.
I am determined not to do anything on tilt though, so stop me if what I say sounds crazy.
Washington-Seriously. STOP. FAVORING. THE. NATS. Martis is bad, Karstens is worse, The Nats can outhit the Pirates. The Nats will still lose this game.
Oakland-Don’t know what it is about this, but it seems more borderline. It shouldn’t be too hard for me to pass another Oakland loss.
Mariners- Matt Palmer is off to a flashy 4-0 start this season. However, I have a feeling that his 1.6 K/BB ratio, and .191 BABIP will not hold up over the long run.
Cleveland- Cliff Lee has had a pretty brutal season in terms of wins and losses. It’s safe to say that he has not pitched like last year, but he is not pitching all that worse. His BABIP is .352 right now, which is absurdly high, although that is tempered a bit by the fact he is stranding over 80% of his runners.
