I can’t promise this will be a weekly feature, so I’m basically including all games since the last one of these I did, which happened to be games through last sunday.
Can’t really complain too much about a week where I was about 4.5 units in the positive and 5-4 in one run games. Pythagorean record remains pretty darn good considering the teams/lines I was betting on before last night. Expect that to fall.
Wow. just, wow. I think an even better card tonight.
Seattle1-who is Jakubauskas?
Seattle2-A little less appetizing with King Felix, but still a decent wagerline split.
Oakland-This is an interesting matchup of can’t hit meets can’t pitch.
Houston-With the rest of this card, probably won’t find room to fade Harang.
Washington-Big line means the Wagerline split isn’t as severe as some of the other games, but its tough not to back a 4-15 team, with Lannan on the Hill against world series MVP Cole Hamels.
Milwaukee- Apparently, people really like the Pirates in this one. That’s okay Maholm is known to be their best pitcher, and Bush is pretty mediocre. I have no problem backing Milwaukee as favorites for the second night in a row.
Kansas City-I watched on Baseball tonight as John Kruk had the Blue Jays atop his power rankings. Then, the next highlight they cut to was the Royals pounding them last night. Unfortunately, that stops backing Meche from reaching double potential.
Atlanta- Auto Lohse fade.
Cleveland-Too bad the Red Sox plan to never lose again.
Baltimore-Auto Saunders fade. Let’s hope Eaton pitches better than Verlander did a few days ago. Not likely, though.
Arizona-Insert “2004 Carlos Zambrano isn’t walking through that door” joke.
San Francisco- Wagerline splits aren’t as severe in this one as about 7 or 8 games mentioned above, so unless something changes I have no problem passing this one against my favorite pitcher not named “Cole Hamels.”
St. Louis/Atlanta OVER- I feel better about this than backing Reyes.
Philly/Washington UNDER- The teams scored 24 runs last night, Cole Hamels has been miserable/hurt all season and Lannan probably isn’t as bad as people think. Plus, 7-1 Phils still counts for the under.
This could be a busy day.
