HAPPY NEW YEARS

I won 2 units in CBB yesterday, so I guess that NW loss was just the law of averages.

Here is what I have for the rest of the next two days, because I will not be in any state to make picks tommorrow.

CBB:
Northern Iowa +7(.1)

CFB:
Michigan St.+8.5 -115(4)

It just been picks around here lately. I’ve been busy. I’ll have more analysis starting next week.

NFL FOOTBALL FINAL ROUND-UP

What an absolutely ridiculous set of circumstances that led to the Eagles making the final playoff spot in the NFC. Oakland knocked off TB as huge underdogs*.

*What the hell happened to Tampa Bay’s defense. This was a good unit for most of the season, then they just got absolutely run all over the past few weeks. They allowed over 189 yards per game on the ground during a four game losing streak.

-It may be a bit reactionary, but that had to be one of the worst losses ever for Dallas. They are a very mediocre team, but they got embarrassed on Sunday to the point where I will no longer be able to take the Eagles next week.

-I was disappointed with the outcomes of the game from a gambling standpoint. Denver would have been an absolute slam dunk play as home dogs to Indy. The Eagles obviously blew out Dallas, so the only play there is Minnesota. Dallas would have been fun to bet against in the playoffs, but obviously they were exposed last week.

-If I had to pick a Super Bowl right now I’m saying Philadelphia v. Baltimore.

On to next week:
The lines:
Atlanta -2.5 @ Arizona
Indianapolis -1 @ San Diego
Baltimore -3 @ Miami
Philadelphia -3 @ Minnesota

Out of that Arizona is an absolute slam dunk play. Minnesota is a possibility. San Diego and Philadelphia are my leans in the other two. I hope I can make a case for San Diego because I feel great about that game. Having to side with Minnesota and Miami to a lesser extent.
